Context
Jim Aile is the portfolio of Jean-Marc Lergand, a painter. He was looking for a site that showcases his works with a performant gallery and a simple quote system.
The challenge
Display dozens of high-resolution artworks without sacrificing performance. Allow visitors to request a quote directly from an artwork.
The approach
WordPress with Breakdance Builder. Optimized masonry gallery with lazy loading via EWWW (automatic WebP conversion). Dynamic lightbox for navigating between works. Quote system with automatic pre-fill via sessionStorage — the visitor selects an artwork and the form fills itself.
Results
Smooth gallery even with heavy images. Simplified quote experience. The client manages his artworks independently via WordPress.
